Welcome to Champagne Sundays! My name is Laura Dove. I have been working and studying in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. I have been obsessed with food since I was 6 years old. I was fortunate to have a family that incorporated many cultures in our daily life and took me traveling all around the world. My passion became educating and making people happy through food.
Champagne Sundays came about when a group of industry and non-industry friends and I would get together every week. It became a standing invitation. We would keep the front door open, the music playing and the bubbles flowing. We would eat and dance the night away.
Since I am always feeding the one’s I love, I only cook with natural and sustainable ingredients. I limit the use of animal protein and never touch a processed food. I can’t classify my cooking style as I don’t qualify for vegan and I don’t like the term “flexitarian.” So let’s just say I’m a responsible cook. In my recipe posts I try and offer alternatives so they suit the mood you are cooking in.
I love to showcase farmers markets finds and pair them with spices I smuggle in my suitcase from far away places!
